We're looking for the area most talented artists.
While we know a lot of the best photographic artists in our area, we don't know them all, but we want to. We are currently looking for artists to round out our fotoModesto 2018 solo and small group exhibits. If you are an artist working in the medium of photography and would like to be considered for fotoModesto 2018 we want to see your work!
Portfolio Submissions
We will be selecting artists for the remaining solo and small group exhibitions via portfolio review. If you are interested in having a show of your work please submit the following

A portfolio of 8-10 images of a consistent theme/subject.

Images should be in jpeg format, 1500px on the longest side and less than 1mb each when compressed.

Image files should be named as followed: "Title_ArtistName.jpg"

Title: the TITLE of the image

Artist Name: YOUR NAME

Artist bio (preferably as a separate file in PDF or text format).

Head shot of yourself for promotional use.

Contact information, Name, Phone Number, Address, Website.

Weather you would like to be considered for a solo or small group show.
You are welcome to submit multiple portfolios of different themes/subjects.

Please send files as an attachment. DO NOT embedded images into email.

Include "ARTIST SUBMISSION" in subject line.
Dates to remember
Submission deadline is December 9th 2017
Artist Notification will be no later than January 6th 2018.
Shows should be hung and ready to open by February 1st 2018.
What should I know?
Solo or Group show
If you are selected for a solo or group show we will notify you of your venue and give you their contact information. We will also give your information to the venue. We want this to be your show so in general we will leave many of the logistics to you and your host venue. However we are available to help and answer questions whenever needed or desired.
Group shows will have a curator to help in the organization of the show, venue and those participating.
Important to Note: The presentation of your work MUST be done in a professional manner. Whether that means framed and matted prints, wrapped canvas, metal or something entirely different is up to you but it must look professional. Please realize this will entail a cost on the artist's part.
Your show must be hung and ready to open on February 1st.
